Today we went to a shelter for men. We learned a lot about the center and heard a success story of one of the formerly homeless and addicted man who now works for the center. We met some of the homeless men that were there that today and got to know them. I met Carl. He was really quiet and to himself and said he liked being alone because he could do good soul searching that way. He was really caring and sweet and I could tell he really enjoyed having us there. After we visited we served them lunch and ate with them.Some of the men seemed just like an everyday person or someone you would pass while shopping in the mall but they all had these crazy pasts you couldn't even dream of. But overall it was a fabulous day!
